Leaving so soon?

So, it's official. I'm leaving tomorrow for college! I can't believe that summer is already gone! It's crazy! I'm all done at work, I had my last day on Monday and only have 1 shift left at the rec center. I'm going to miss ...everything! My room, my sisters, my parents, my fridge! Just everything! And even though I'm leaving tomorrow I don't feel ready at all! I just barely started buying stuff for my apartment! But it's a good thing I have a store just down the street from my apartment...that'll be a nice walk.

But I do know that I'll have loads of fun! My roommates all look super nice and I'm sure I'm going to love them dearly! It'll definitely be an interesting couple of first days, trying to figure everything out and such, but still good nonetheless. (Just a funny side note, I love the word, nonetheless, it's three words in one! How cool is that?! Doesn't get much cooler than that ;) )

I hope everything goes well, and hopefully I'll have a good first week of school! My life is going to be pretty crazy! But it'll be a good crazy...I think. Ha!

I never thought leaving my parents house would be this hard! But you have to pack everything you're supposed to live on! How does anyone do that?! I know that I can't wrap my head around it yet...and I'm supposed to be ready tomorrow morning!! This'll really be an interesting rest of the day! But it'll be good...I hope! Keep your fingers crossed xxx! (those are crossed fingers....for anyone interested).

Well, better start/restart packing! Talk to you soon!

Life gets busy...

It has been forever...or so it would seem...since I've posted. Life went crazy and dragged me along with it.
I finally graduated high school! And now I'm ready for the big pond, otherwise known as Snow College. Classes start on August 21, so I'll be moving in sometime around then. I'm super excited and can't wait!

Summer brought about some fun activities, such as my sister visiting from Connecticut! It was so fun to spend time with her and her husband for about two weeks. We got to go to a thing (I don't know what to call it, a show or something...) put on by Glenn Beck called Man in the Moon. It was a narrative, by the Man in the Moon, about the history of the world and America. It was really fun and definitely put a cool perspective on it. BUT the cool part of the story was that we got there about 2 hours early so we could get some good seats, and as soon as we get out of our car it starts to rain, REALLY hard! We were all pretty much soaking when we got there (which it was an outside amphitheater....so no shelter anywhere) but luckily my dad had brought some ponchos and tarps to keep us...somewhat dry. So my family's just sitting on the grass playing games, waiting for the show to start and it kept raining a little bit
(which was actually really fun! We were all miserable but having fun together) and Glenn Beck came out on stage saying that if it didn't stop raining that they wouldn't be able to use the projectors (=the whole show!)...so he has a member of his staff come out and say a prayer! It was soooo cool that thousands of people could all pray together for a miracle to happen! All these people from who knows how many different denominations praying together! And know what? IT WORKED!! The clouds got blown away with the wind and they were able to go on with the show!
It was so cool to be able to witness a miracle of such great magnitude! That's one day that I'll not forget!

Catch Up

I love D.I!! So much! And it's even more fun when you go with your friends! I had a great time today! I love weekends and next weekend is going to be so fun because next week is Morp! And the theme for Morp this year is Hawaiian Luau :) so Cambri, Callie and I decided to go to D.I. today to look for some 'Hawaiian' looking shirts....it was quite an adventure but fun nonetheless :)

Not only did Cambri and Callie go shopping with me today, they came and visited me at work last night! It was so much fun, even if we were really busy last night and had a line going out the door! But still fun for me to see them since I couldn't go to the basketball game :/

I started interning at Legacy Elementary and I'm working with Mrs. Pettit in 5th grade! She is the sweetest lady and I've really enjoyed working and observing her. She's such a great teacher and I'm so happy that I'm able to work with her, but I think that I'd rather teach junior high. That way I only have to teach 1 or 2 subjects and I don't have to teach them the basics of education and that makes me really excited for college. It's been a great eye-opener for me about what I really want to do...but I guess I do still have a while to decide my future :)

I have scholarship auditions for Snow College in about two weeks...I'm a little nervous but super excited and hopeful and it should be good...but I'm still stressing out because I've been working on my piece (Mozart Concerto in D Major) for quite some time and I still don't feel ready :/ so it should be a good experience for me but I'm pretty sure that I'm for SURE going to Snow :) and I'm really excited for it! I can't wait to graduate from high school...pretty sure that I'm ready for bigger and better things :) but I will miss people...not the place ;)

Sorry it's been a while but wish me luck on the next few weeks/months!
